A short, but not unreasonable, lag

So... I haven't done much writing (or hardly at all) in the last few days.

Had to write a letter of recommendation for a former student, and two reviews (one for an album, which should be posted any day now to a website I sometimes write for and another a movie review, that I simply sent around to all my friends).

Sure, it's the end of June, but I will begin writing soon and it will flow like plasma at a blood drive.

And while I constantly look back at 2015 as the summer I got my mojo back and was the most prolific that I'd been in two years, I still had to finish the sequel to Momo (which had taken me about four years to write) before I began Personal Demons that summer.
And I love how, on Macs, you can simply hit "Command" then "I" and open up a whole wealth of digital knowledge about your files. Turns out I created the file (and presumably began) Personal Demons on June 23rd, 2015. I then created the file for my second draft of that script on August 2nd, 2015 (the end of my summer as a teacher).

So, seeing as it's June 26th, 2017 and I already have fifteen pages of the script in the can and have reached the inciting incident, I'd say I'm doing okay.
Especially since, as with the first script, I have the three-act structure all mapped out. The hard part is done. Now on to the fun part.

The only thing bothering me is Greenlight My Movie.

See, I will consider it a successful summer if I can:

  1. Film & submit all my Greenlight My Movie videos
  2. Finish writing the script for Personal Demons 2
  3. Submit the script for the first Personal Demons to a slew of agents
Now, I've got the script written for my Greenlight My Movie pitches and I've been practicing them with the help of Online Stopwatch, but I can't seem to get over 5 minutes.
I outline the story (though not in so much detail as to become exhaustive), hit on the key marketing/selling points and describe each major character. And, again, I'm only getting to five minutes.

So, I've reached out to the people at Greenlight My Movie with the following message:
"Dear Greenlight My Movie,

Just out of curiosity (if such a thing is permissible) is there any way to view the videos that have successfully caught industry attention on Greenlight My Movie?
I ask because I am practicing my pitches and timing them, but I never seem to go much beyond five minutes and I worry that my videos are too short or are skimping on information potential interested parties might want.
I understand there's the issue of other members' privacy and (of course) copyright and intellectual property concerns, but if nothing else, could you tell me (if you can) how long the average video is on Greenlight My Movie?"

With that said, hopefully I'll get some help.
If not, I suppose I'll scour YouTube for some video screenplay pitches, see if mine is better or worse, then commit to what I have.

I also need to seriously do my homework with Greenlight My Movie's list of VIPs and decide which company I want to submit to.

Long road ahead of me.

Thankfully, I still have six more weeks left of summer break.
