So... a few things.
First, I love it when I wake up and jump out of bed jazzed to write.
I woke up this morning and couldn't wait to open Final Draft and add some detail to the scenes I wrote the night before.
Felt good.
A feeling I've missed for a while.
Second, I checked on GreenlightMyMovie.com and now it turns out you can upload pre-recorded videos of your own to their site.
Which is good. I feel a bit more comfortable recording videos on Quicktime and having them on my desktop (so that I have a copy to review) and then submitting them.
Also, I like being able to screw up as many times as I want and to be able to practice as much as I want.
I also found out that the videos for Greenlight My Movie can be up to 10 minutes long. This is rad. I thought it was only 5 before.
And, finally, I guess I didn't realize this, but Greenlight My Movie gives you the opportunity to submit your video pitch to 3 VIP companies.
I've copied & pasted that list into a PDF document and plan to go through it (all 36 pages!) and strategically place my submissions.
I've already written the scripts for my video pitches, now I need to go practice them (and time myself with Online Stopwatch) and get my pitches to under 10 minutes... Then it's just a matter of getting the video right and remembering to look at the webcam on my MacBook and not be a weirdo (harder to do than one thinks).
