Indeed, I am a bit of a perfectionist and have been doing uncountable takes of each segment of my Personal Demons video pitch for Greenlight My Movie.
However... I am nearly done.
I only have to record my synopsis.
The videos can be 10 minutes long, but my buddy (who's been to the American Film Market and knows a thing or two about pitching) says not to fill the whole ten minutes.
I agree.
If the Pitchfest I went to in 2015 was any indication, 5 minutes is about right.
Right now I'm at about six minutes and change.
With my synopsis I'm thinking 8 minutes.
I should be good.
I've also inserted title cards (black slides with red font... the Nightmare On Elm Street font!) to compartmentalize each portion of my pitch... I think the recipients will appreciate that.
This thing is looking infinitely better than I ever thought it could.
Hopefully it will be in the can and delivered to Greenlight My Movie no later than Sunday,
And next week I have virtually the entire week off from my bartending gig (and I have no concerts or plans), so I can write Personal Demons 2, finish my video pitch and write all necessary attachments (written synopsis, etc.) and send it off.
I'm finally feeling productive this summer.
It's a good feeling.
