PitchFest possibly rescheduled

 

 Got the following email about Pitchfest.

I wrote back and told them February was my preference.

December is too busy, obviously, and January is a month where I just like to chill and coast.

Plus having in Feb. will give me ample time to practice my pitch.

It's (Almost) Time to Pitch!   Hi Erik, Great news!  The WGA and the AMPTP have finally reached a tentative agreement.  The proposal still needs WGA lawyers to go over the fine print before sending it to the WGA Negotiating Committee to vote on whether to recommend the contract to the WGA Board and Council who will then approve the deal (hopefully) and finally send it to its 11,500+ members for final approval.  Once the agreement has been ratified, writers can get back to work…and attend the Hollywood Pitch Festival. It's a process that could take until mid-October to complete.  So, in the meantime, HPF staff will be working on securing a new date for the 27th HPF – and you can help! Simply email us back and let us know which month works best for you (keeping in mind we need 6-8 weeks to prepare starting approximately October 15):   Early December February March Thank you again for your ongoing patience and solidarity. We will be back in touch to announce the new date once the deal between the AMPTP and the WGA has been ratified.
