new script

Just started writing my new script.

I have the three-act structure for this one all mapped out.

On the one hand I hate that I have to conform to these Hollywood-set formulaic standards (and that some film school graduate, who's taken a job as a "reader" at an agency or studio will hold my script up to this rubric... and if it doesn't conform to it, he'll toss it in the garbage), and on the other hand it does give me a bit of much-needed structure and guidance.

Honestly, I haven't had this much fun writing a script in years... Then again, I haven't written a script in years, so...

Anyhow, I'm only a page in, but I've introduced the setting, the protagonist and the antagonist...

Hope to finish by end of summer, if not sooner...
