I think my David Kemp novels are just too uniquely Erik (filled with references to RoboCop, horror films, death metal and other assorted facets of pop culture that I find life hard to life without, but that other people might find confusingly obscure or irrelevant.
At any rate, although I think Urban Prairie is my best novel yet, and I will keep plowing forward with queries, I don't know if I see it snagging me representation or seeing publication (until, of course, after I'm famous... then everyone will rave about how "brilliant" the book is and I can mumble my scorn under my breath).
Until such time, I think my next novel (told from the first person and narrated by Kemp) about my friend who is a recovering addict and my history and experiences with him, will most likely be the book that warrants the most interest and requests.
We shall see...
But first I have to write the damn thing...
