So, I submitted Personal Demons to the London Horror Film Awards on June 25th, 2024.
I then got a weird email from them about the festival (posted below)... an email that in no way indicates the status of my submission.
They then failed to notify me, at all, of my submission status.
I then just checked FilmFreeway and, lo and behold, I was "Not Selected."
Apparently the notification date was October 3rd.
But I watch my email like a hawk (especially for changing in judging status) and I received no notice.
Ah well.

The submission of films to our festival has official ended. Our jury continuously monitored your projects throughout the year, and in a few days (Notification Day - 30th September 2024) you will find out which films will be selected and which will be screened. We will only know the winners of the festival at the LIVE SCREENING on October 25, 2024 at Close Up Cinema London, so write this date in your calendar.
Our festival was included among the TOP 25 BEST REVIEWED FILM FESTIVALS focused on HORROR in the United Kingdom. That is why we dare to claim that we are among the best independent film festivals in Europe and the world. Our festival is one of the few that prioritizes only directors and introduces new film faces to the film industry.
