Yeeeesh!
It's been over a month since my last post.
Halloween festivities, work and other distractions (both good and bad) have kept me from writing, submitting and blogging.
But, there is some to report...
I have e-mailed Michael Meltzer for the 4th time and Melanie at Zero Gravity for the second time regarding my latest script Personal Demons.
We shall see what happens.
But Meltzer requested my script on August 11th and Zero Gravity on the 14th.
I just tire of being blown off.
Is it because I'm a nobody (in that I haven't had any of my scripts produced or any of my novels formally published on a large scale)?
Is it is because I live somewhere other than L.A.?
If someone could answer me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
At any rate, I have joined The Tracking Board (though it seems as if a subscription to The Tracking Board and the Launch Pad are two completely different things... I think Launch Pad is for writers looking to get discovered and Tracking Board is a site meant for breaking entertainment news that only Hollywood insiders can access and post on... Don't know how accurate that assessment is, but it looks right from what I've seen).
Also, I am deliberating back and forth on pre-ordering a Qwerkywriter in an effort to lockdown the $329 price instead of the $399 price. There are times I think it too expensive and frivolous (and wonder how often I'd actually use it) and then I remember my collection of vintage typewriters and how I yearn to use them, but don't, due to their impermanence and cumbersome, antiquated mechanics.
Ah well.
I'll probably break down and buy one and, knowing me, will adapt quickly to it and write some of my best stuff on it.
A new writing machine is always a good thing.
And that is a positive thought to stay with you until my next post.
Take that typewriter money and send Michael a singing telegram. Ya never know.
