Dear Erik D., A sincere thank you for submitting your screenplay to the 13th annual A Night of Horror International Film Festival. The calibre of submissions was particularly high this year. Indeed, every year it seems to get higher. After much deliberation, difficult and often subjective decisions had to be made, and, unfortunately, your submission was not successful this year. Admittedly, the least favourite part of running a screenwriting competition is having to let those screenwriters know about our jury’s decisions, and as a filmmaker myself, I know that the response can sting. Everyone at A Night of Horror International Film Festival hopes that you are not too disappointed to hear that Personal Demons is not among this year's finalists. Please understand we enjoyed reading your submission very much, and hope to have the opportunity to read more of your work in the years to come.
