Just came home from school, sat down at my desk... and did nothing but write for the next 2-4 hours.
That is exactly what I have been dreaming about (and seeking to do) for the last few months.
Felt soooooooo good!
It was a proposal (think Jonathan Swift... only completely serious) that I've been mulling over for some time.
Wrote it wearing my William S. Burroughs shirt, with my Hemingway and Burroughs bust staring me in the face and a Paddywax Tolstoy candle burning beside me.
Sure, it is a rough draft, but I am immensely proud of this thing.
Now all I have to do is get back in the habit of submitting my work.
I've since stoked myself on the prospect of re-reading my old work and re-writing it (as I read) to better suit it for submission (or aesthetics outside of my own... objectivity, y'know).
At any rate, feels good to be writing again.
Hopefully, I can get a little bit (a story, a rant, a manifesto) done each day this week.
It's Mid-Term week at school, so there's not much stress & not much to take home... Better to use this time for the creative good (as all things should).
