unfounded

Just e-mailed the gentleman in charge of PitchFest.

Beginning to feel a bit worried.

I'm fearing (a probably unfounded fear) that it is a scam.

Why?

Well, I bought my Silver Pass for the 2015 PitchFest over the weekend and my card still hasn't been charged yet. But that could be akin to when you pre-order something in Amazon: you don't get charged until the item ships. In this instance your card won't get charged until PitchFest draws near and you receive your materials (printed executive director and badge) in the mail. I don't know.

Also, one website seems to work:

http://pitchfest.com/

But then the other website:

https://pitchfest.com/contact/

Gives me this warning:

LATE BREAKING NEWS:

Now the e-mail I just sent to PitchFest came back with this message:
"I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

I need to do some serious investigation as to who this Signe Olynyk is and find out what the deal is with PitchFest.
Is it a scam?
If so, that'll be immensely disappointing (although, I know for a fact that they're not the only pitch summit in the country).
But, on the plus side, my card hasn't been charged yet, so thankfully I can investigate this without worrying about a potential financial hit that I'd have to fight to recover at another date.
