Well, I sent Pitchfest another e-mail (this time through their website message form).
Hopefully this one will not be bounced back to me.
I also Tweeted to them... for whatever that's worth.
Although, among all the post-modern digital telegrams (texting, Tweeting) and digital human brochures (Facebook, Myspace, etc.) I actually prefer Twitter... It's succinct, enough so that people can't start drama. Also, it gives my friends and family out of town and abroad just enough of an update so that they can speed read the little vignettes of my life without getting bogged down with reading ('cuz, you know, reading is just too much effort for some people) and detail...
Anyhow, hopefully I'll get a response back from Pitchfest and I can solidify at least part of what is going on next summer.
And I know they're active and present; they've Tweeted as recently as yesterday... They were pimping some contest where people pitch their best horror logline... But it was $20 to pitch 5 loglines... Whatever... Now I know a lot of competitions/festivals, etc. require fees, but something just didn't feel right about that... So I diverted...
