... Just ordered Clive Barker's Mister B. Gone and Patrick McGrath's latest novel (Constance) from the library... Whenever you're in need of inspiration or motivation, simply look to those who've influenced you.
In the summer of 2009, when I was writing my 5th novel (The Murderers), I would read a Hemingway short story before I wrote each chapter.
Also, watched another film last night about writers. A film called Twixt. Apparently, it was made in 2011 but was deemed so terrible (despite being made by Francis Ford Coppola) that it sat on a shelf... until now... I love it (but then I love most films people hate). Anyhow, again I have to bring up that people seem not only fascinated by writers, but struggling or failed writers... I don't get it... I just know that I'm determined not to join their ranks... or to join them for long... I take my cues from Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) in Secret Window... but without the multiple personalities and homicide... not in real life anyhow...
