Woke up.
Exercised.Read a little.
Went to the library to swap some PS5 games for a Joe R. Lansdale graphic novel (the unfilmed script of Bubba Nosferatu).
Came home and essentially twiddled my thumbs while waiting for 8:30pm, when Pitchfest put their meeting schedule up for all us writers to schedule meetings with their VIPs/executives. It was either their system, or my computer, but the system glitched every-so-often. I would schedule a meeting, then my next meeting would have that spinning cursor to indicate that the system was busy. I would then have to refresh the page (and waste valuable seconds while other writers snatched up my meetings).
Ah well.
It all worked out.
Below is my schedule.
I got all meetings with all the VIPs I wanted.
All of my meetings are on Friday, then the rest are on Monday.
Now, I won't lie: I completely forgot that Pitchfest even went until Monday.
The only other Pitchfest I went to started on Saturday and ended promptly Sunday evening.
I am a little wary of the fact that my Monday meetings bump up right next to each other, but hopefully that will not be an issue.
It seems as if everyone wants a meeting with Screen Gems (when I went to reschedule my meeting, there were no spots left), so hopefully either Screen Gems will be tied up with their meeting before me, and I'll have some leeway, or my meeting with Culture Creative will be succinct (but fruitful). Also, I have to remind myself that Screen Gems rejected me before (on GreenLightMyMovie.com), so that meeting might be a wash regardless.
Who knows.
If nothing else, this year could be seen as a test run.
Next year I might spring for more pitches and go down a rabbit hole with this thing.
We shall see.
Hopefully, this year's Pitchfest will be so productive that I won't need a pitchfest next year.
