Began the second act of my comedy script tonight.
I am now into the main plot and am feeling much better about writing a comedy (a genre I've never delved into directly before).
I am now getting to write some scenes that have lived in my head for five or more years now. Scenes I have fallen in love with that I cannot wait to write. I am actually getting excited about writing this. Plus, I am incorporating a ton of material from my everyday life into it, so it is very cathartic.
I also did a bit of writing in this guide that I am writing.
See, I started writing this guide sometime last year. I don't want to say too much about it because I don't want anyone stealing my ideal and trying to beat me to the punch.
But I plan to create a whole other blog (anonymously) and self-publish this guide, but only certain sections of it. And I am going to make clear, upon the blog's creation, my intentions: I am going to state loudly and clearly that if people want to read the rest of this guide, that a publisher or agent better show interest in it. Otherwise the missing chapters will remain unseen by the public.
I'm going to go all Martin Weir / The Martian with this.
We'll see how it goes.
If nothing else, hopefully I can finish up my comedy script, crank out a few short stories and maybe begin a horror script this summer.
Here's hoping.
