Here is my rebuttal to Alex Eldeman from the Warden Group:
"Alex,
Thank you for your time, consideration and feedback.
I agree that Flatdog is extremely dark, but thank you for reading and considering it.
I was wondering if you'd had time to read the loglines of mine that you requested and wanted to see if there was anything else you wanted me to send your way.
(Rest assured, not all my scripts are as dark and macabre as Flatdog).
Also, I just finished a script in the teen horror sub genre. It is a supernatural film entitled Personal Demons and I've enclosed the logline below.
Again, Personal Demons showcases my love of 80's horror, but is a bit lighter (comedic even, in parts):
Personal Demons logline:
A group of horror-obsessed teenagers in a small, sleepy
mining town in the Rocky Mountains must hunt and kill a demon that has crawled
from a nearby cave and murdered one of their friends. In preparation for their hunt the group
struggles with everyday problems (parental concerns, school intervention and
religious differences) that threaten to tear them apart.
Let me know if want to see any pages from Personal Demons and thanks again for taking the time to consider my work. It means the world to me!
Sincerely,
Erik D. Harshman
P.S.
- When I was pitching to you at PitchFest, you mentioned you had penned
a script about alligators in the sewer in a post 9-11 New York. I'd
love to read that script if you wouldn't mind letting me."
