submissions

Well, I wrote a little while ago about Shock Totem (a magazine I've been meaning to submit to) being closed for submissions until August 1st.

Well, now Dark Moon Digest (a magazine that previously published one of my short stories, "Unimportant") is closed for submissions until August 1st.

And now Weird Tales (the magazine that once Lovecraft famous, but has been passed around to so many publishers, cities and editors that only the title remains) is closed for submissions until fall, when they will announce new "themes" (which will limit what I can submit to them).

Incidentally, so is Something Wicked and Cemetery Dance... Looks like just about every major horror magazine that I want to get published in is closed to submissions.

I guess I'll sift through the web and look for magazines that are still open for submissions, but for now it looks like I'll be simply submitting my query letter to literary agents.
