prepping...

So... Just went by the library (I always feel a bit pretentious when I walk in there with my Target bought, hinged lid document box... mostly 'cuz it has a printed label on the top that says my name in typewriter font) to print out the script (my latest, Pillow Queen) for submission for the CinemaSpoke Screenplay competition. Hey, my taxes pay for the library and printing is free (up to 200 pages)... So, I'll use their toner and paper as long as I can.
Speaking of which, my printer had a weird bug where (every other page) it would print out a blank page that has "2345X" at the top. I Googled it and a ton of other people were having this same issue. Apparently, HP then issued a "patch" for it (I kinda know what that means) and I downloaded and installed it... easy fix!
But I digress.
So I printed out my script, returned home and then decided to sit down and read my script (as I hadn't done so in about a a year... since I let David Sheffield read it before the summer of 2014).
Anyhow, I found a slew of typos, so I read it through and marked with a red pen (my usual M.O.) and then went through and corrected, saved and printed the offending pages.
It felt good to be productive today and to prep something that I genuinely care about for (what I hope will be) a good opportunity.

We shall see...

My first (purely) non-horror script and certainly my most marketable script to date.

Really it's just beautiful people, in nice settings (suburban Midwest) doing terrible things to one another... typically with very little clothes on...

Hopefully people will respond well...
